In the MapGPSsystemInstructions.doc file at the Quote from Vice he uses the filename savedatasettings.txt.

Is that a mistake or what.
Should the EM folder contain savedata.txt and savedatasettings.txt, both containing the time interval or did he mean to say savedata.txt and only the one file is needed ?

I've got them both in the EM folder at present at present.

Also, if you enable Tracking then I noted the Add Objects button becomes active. Does that mean you can add new system objects directly into the online database or is this something else ?

"savedatasettings.txt" goes in the games main folder, this is the file you put the time interval in.
"savedata.txt" is then created by the game in the folder where your profiles are saved. it contains the in game data.

Add objects lets you save systems locally, not to the online DB.

Thanks.
Man it's rather hard tracking down new planets (which in the Nav Console listing at the top the names often seem to be - as an example O759. Because some of the names I noticed are within an overall System that has a different name when I tried Traccking in Evometrics today - though it's somewhat of a chore Ctrl-Esc to select it since I don't have 2 monitors and my Laptop is really pretty to run EM and anything else along with it.
There was no Star within a 10 sector radius so starlight didn't help a lot. I just more or less ran across the planet based on the Nav Console system name and jumping aobut a bit.
Extremely time consuming for these old bones.

Were you searching for a star or a planet?

 Well, the star is easy to find once you find one of its planets. Not always so easy doing it the other way 'round.

Some of these planets were far from ther stars - more than 10 sector radius - not visible xoomed all the way out.

I had been at it from 2pm til 8pm and was used up so I only spent a little time jumping about hunting in between autopiloting to my original destination.

Unfortunately - I hadn't see the Form and didn't think about writing down the cities (and some didn't have cities) - so I can't send in an incomplete spreadsheet.

I'll post then here incase someone wants to go hunting.

The others are not. Congratulations.
