Many Questions.

Post by Noname202 »

I was planning on starting up a server of my own for this game, mostly it would be used for a social experiment. I was wondering if the max limit if i remember correctly was only 32 or 38 or if it could possibly go all the way up to 100?

Also i was wondering how the system where the clans control certain systems work? Is this all done by Roleplaying and forums, or is this done by a program ingame that shows it visually?

I also have been looking to see if it was possible to destroy non-player placed space stations or if you can only destroy player based ones. Also can players build their own cities on new planets, if so can they be destroyed?

Now getting onto scripting and nodding. Is it possible to make new scripts for this game or mod it to where you can add in new missions, new factions, and where you are able to add in new Items? Even possibly new weapons?

Welcome to the forums. Another server is always a good thing.

I believe the limit is 32 but I'm not positive.
Clan control is an in-game system. Hop in a server and look around.
You cannot destroy non-player created stations. Players cannot build cities.

The game is modular in many respects but not all. Define scripts? You can definitely add in new missions. I think you can edit the descriptions of both factions and items. I don't think you can edit their properties though.

 You can either replace or append the IMG quest. Check here: http://www.starwraith.com/forum/viewtop ... #pid141774

Hi and welcome.

Here is some info regarding clans and other stuff (No spoilers).
http://www.junholt.se/evoschool/index.htm

You can see the clans "own %" of every system in your Quadrant map in game.

You can not destroy non player build stations.

You can download the ModKit here: http://www.starwraith.com/evochronmerce ... nloads.htm
It explains how it all works.
\"Nothing is impossible, it only takes a bit longer!\"
\"We are not retreating, we are advancing in another direction!\"

You can "script" your own quest. Beyond that, Cronic is correct. But there's a lot of power in scripting a new quest.

:o That used to really be irritating in the days of dial-up. I had to quit reading one forum (years ago) because the size of the sigs outclassed the standard mode of surfing the Web. The irony of the whole thing was how the game being supported was being modded so the majority of players (all of which were on dial-up) could play without lag. Luckily, load time is no longer an issue. Now, the only limit is if the sig fits the forum's specified size.
