Anyway, my most pressing issue is with IMG contract: "protect the capital ship" which Im currently on. The problem is quite simple. I have no goddarn idea where to go. The last quest message gives a sector coordinate position, but thats just my current position, so maybe Im in the right sector? Cant seem to locate the ship anyway. There is no nav point to direct me, only the nav point I set to get to the city (that gave me the quest). I tried googling but all I came up was a 404 adress to username Mecingo's (who apparently does not exist anymore) tutorial videos in youtube. So any help on how to find the damn objective would be nice
Here is something else: accel/decel keys. Im using kb. So Im wondering why the IDS throttle keys cant be the same as when in inertia mode? Whats the whole point in having two sets there? The game does not allow binding them in same keys, but that would seem like the best way to me. Maybe Im overlooking something here though.
Navigation should DEFINITELY never, ever lose the objective navpoint, no matter what the player does. Except turning down or failing the quest, of course. The navigation also does not let you scroll any part of the quadrant you would want to. Why is that? Then the "text" function. It just makes an incredible mess of things. Each option (planet, station) should have its own button to disable/enable text. Then a function to never overlap the text is needed. It should add a "line" that leads to the object in question, and move the text. "Hiding" the bulk of the text items into minimized icons that open when moused over could also work well. Only display name or 4 letters (+ 1 or two digits) at all time.
Ill propably be adding my thoughts to appropriate threads later on, just felt like letting off a bit
