Find IT!

Ok Gents, Ladys if any...

So when I get a mission to find some trash bag that was lost by the navy and I fly to that location doing a "visual" on the item I CANT find the damn thing! What size is this item? am I looking for a soda can, penny my mother inlaw? What size? At one time I thought I saw like a little red speck, but that could be the blood coming out of my nav officers mouth with the repeated punches....

Also really frustrating is when my science officer or nav officer will tell me that there is a container at bearing 60 with +6 tilt. I check and flew and flew and flew for 35 mins didn't find the damn container. What am I looking for? Will it show up on radar as do the ships and stations I encounter?

Or should I just toss part of the crew out the air lock?

After you jump to the nav point look for a purple dot on you radar display just fly towards that, it's worked for me so far

Yep I get that as well, never actually found one of those containers by following his directions.

Things in space look vvvvvvveryyyyyyy small. In both cases your first clue to finding them will be a purplish dot on your 3d nav indicator (yes, the same one that shows location of ships etc.). Sometimes I turn off the HUD and watch for anything that sparkles in the background. Good luck! Added note, please remember younger people read this so use language viewable for all our kids (thanks).
