IMPORTANT: some answer below you find the translated files (corrections/suggestions are welcome!) with the version number. (latest: 01.00)
To try (or use) this files in the game, copy and paste the text inside relative game's file (systemdata, techdata and text) and then save

NB: potete trovare i medesimi files, le istruzione (in italiano), i suggerimenti e le varie discussioni nel relativo forum italiano ( www.evochronlegend.italia.forumfree.net )

That would be great, yes. Once you feel the translation is basically complete and ready, I can even help setup an installer for such a translation, if you like.

You might also want to run your translation by Dennymala ... having played EL a little longer, he can help spot any misconceptions you might have about game play.

one thing to note ( I know this because I worked on a Italian translation for renegades ) , there is a line with the word "cash" , this needs to stay a 4 letter word for some reason, doesn't need to be "cash", Apart from that it's pretty cool.

Also, ( in relation to certain recent events ) there are some lines that relate to multi-player, While I'm sure Vice is working on a fix it would probably be better to keep these lines unaltered. Also if anyone ever makes/finishes/uses a server mod having these altered would effect the results, I forget the exact lines, but its along the lines of "player" then "destroyed" then "in Sector" - though there are a few others.

I'm more than happy to help, but someone will need to check over my work, my written Italian is pretty awful.

How about "Paga" ... or ... there's another short word (I think it's four letters) banks use ... can't remember the word ... it's usually on a sign over the teller where you withdraw money.

obviously... "cassa" which is the exact tranlsation of Cash as it's etimo, but it's 5 chars:(

Yes, but it may need to be zipped as the max size allowed is around 48K.

Well, there's "Euro" ... but that might be overly optimistic, considering how long the EU will probably last. Maybe it will be overtaken by a second Roman Empire ... after which, you could use "Lira" instead.

Edit: My wife says to use "Paga" ... leastwise, until she can come up with some Sardinian alternative.

When I was working on translating Renegades my wife suggested using paga too, but I stuck with cash................

Cash mean money, it's generic. Paga means retribution, salary.

It's different. In the end I don't think it will fit but it depends on the context of the sentence.
