Pilots,

As you know, BA have setup a new TeamSpeak server for all to use, but we would like to know if you would use it or not.

At the moment the server is 24/7, but if the demand is not there for that level, then we will reduce the times it is running. Once the poll is over, we will post new opening times.

Please also let us know, if you do use it, how many are normaly talking and what sort of time you would like it running (GMT please, my mind cant convert from all the other times zones!:D)

I voted yes but I have to state that we use our own server.

It happens sometime that it is not working (just like last sunday) and a community allowed server will be good to have as a backup.
Best regards

Perhaps I did not phrase the question correctley. Would you guys use the TS server provided by BA? I've got 4 votes for using TS and 1 for Not, but no comments appart from DennyMala.

If you have voted, can you comment on if you would use the BA TeamSpeak server.

Thanks
B

I was the one who voted "no." I don't have an overwhelming interest to try Teamspeak, nor do I have the necessary hardware for it (microphone).

I voted no as I play when my wife is sleeping and or we are watching T.V. at the same time so it would not be to my way of game play. Thanks for the offer.:)

I've only used it the once, with my clan, and found it quite useful, though some radio discipline was obviously needed. The only reason that I haven't used it more is that there haven't been the people online to use it with! Are you all on holiday?

My keyboard is old. It only registers half the keys when I press them. Last Sunday, I played without TS ("our" server was down) and nearly threw the keyboard out the window (which was closed at the time).

A backup server would be more than appreciated. And, if the 24/7 option is reliable, I'd be willing to make it our primary server (and use the current primary as backup).

I will be using it again once my leg heals which I have been told could be another 2 months. I am beginning to wonder if I had emergency surgery or butchery.

I am greatful to BA for providing this service. As to your question of how many will use it, hopefully all of the SD clan.

It is important that players would have the possibility to create channels in the server and maybe even protect them with password.

This will come in handy when you want to do clan operations or whenever you need privacy.

You will have the option to set up seperate channels with passwords. BA did that on the other server and it works very well.
