After just a few minutes I knew that I found the spirital successor to Elite/Privateer/ Frontier etc... I feel like a child during christmas!
But after a few days within the Sapphire Sector I have a few questions.
Is there a lore or history about the Evochron universe? I found an "evoclopedia" in the forum, but that one raises more questions and hasn´t many answers (why is Sol cut off for example? Or which planet was destroyed by the Vonari during the intro?)
And for my main question...
As someone who loves flightsims and uses Orbiter I have to ask if there are mods (or even update-plans) that enhance the system complexity of the crafts (for example propulsion vs. reactor management, gear and radiator handling etc...).
I know that many users don´t want more complexity as they don´t see the point (...why do you want to shut down the engines? ...the handling of various ship systems is just tedious...), but for me it intensifies the immersion (just as you don´t need planetary landings, but it killed egosofts x-series for me).
But these are just minor points, a spacesim with a seamless universe, planets you can land on and newtonian control style is something I really craved for.
