Hello,
I was doing some mining runs between the asteroids and a mining station in the Olympus system. When I first arrived all planets were of Industrial type, but after a couple of hours of mining, all olympus planets turned to General Economy.
Is this normal? Even if market fluctuations forced them to change their economy type it is unlikely that it would influence ALL the system.

Wha..really? I thought the economy was fixed like in Freelancer/Elite/Frontier etcOriginally posted by Eclipse
As I understand the economy system, your deeds in the system have an effect on the economy levels. I'm sure Vice can give you a much better explanation.![]()

Planets changing the economy type?
No sir, it is not! For example, if all you did was sell Plat, you would see the price drop as a result. Some systems are agrarian, some manufacturing, etc. The value of food and other products in any given system will fluctuate according to supply & demand. The more of any commodity in a system will lower the price.
I don't believe this applies to weapons or ships tho'.

Planets changing the economy type?
Hello everyone,
Really enjoying Evocron Legends so far, seems to me you've got the emphasis right: having lots of enjoyable/diverse/skilfull things to do in space.
I think I've noticed a bug in relation to this topic. If you have the text off on the map and hover over a planet it often reports all the Planets in a system as having the same economy type - however when you turn the text on, the economy type is reported correctly. I think the incorrect economy type popup is related to the planet you are closest to or were last at??
Anyway it could definately cause confusion. While I'm on the topic of the Nav Map also, I have to say its the most tricky part of the UI in my opinion - being able to scroll at any zoom level would be really handy.
Thanks,
Alkalide

Thanks for the bug fix, and the new target view I love...want to see those ships designs! Without wanting to appear cheeky - what about this scroll ability at any zoom level on the Nav Map - I'm presuming there's probably a technical problem with doing that? Am I right?Originally posted by Alkalide

Yes, the map system is based on a 'centered sensor' system where the map is generated based on what your sensors detect. Scrolling at any zoom level would result in not being able to scroll at all at full zoom out and scrolling just a few sectors at most at lower settings, since it could never leave the sensor range limit anyway. Instead, scrolling really isn't necessary, although it was added for the max zoom level by request. All a player has to do is zoom out to the level they want, which lets them see everything within sensor range, then right click in the sector box they want to zoom in on. Two simple steps to lock in on a sector without any needed scrolling around (which could potentially risk losing track of the centered orientation).
