I built one in a nebula once ... the kind of nebula where jumping out is a hit-or-miss proposition. In enemy territory. Doesn't exist anymore ... but it was cool while it did. As for clans, it's a lot easier to coordinate game times when you're coordinating with the same people every week.SolarWarden wrote:What about a monster station that surrounds an entire asteroid field? On the whole, as SolarWarden says, especially the group camaraderie ...SolarWarden wrote:The broad point is to foster a sense of camaraderie and support between players and to add a new dynamic to the multiplayer landscape. As for a more specific answer, there are numerous possibilities. Organizing game scenarios for which you otherwise wouldn't be able to gather the numbers, clan battles and wars, sector conquest, empire expansion, not to mention the social aspect of participating with like-minded individuals in a mutually recreational activity, and the role-playing aspect of being part of a clan's hierarchy, earning accolades, positions, promotions, and responsibilities. There are also a number of self-imposed achievement type goals that you could shoot for with the right numbers in a group. Possibilities man, possibilities.

Sounds gnarly. I thought about building a huge station that is nothing but modules placed vertically down from the bottom of the command module (other than the odd shield/turret combo branching out for protection).Marvin wrote:I built one in a nebula once ... the kind of nebula where jumping out is a hit-or-miss proposition. Oh, I remember that moment. There is still "Shermanda's Garden" station as a replacement for "Marvin's Garden" in this cloud in Pearl systemMarvin wrote:I built one in a nebula once ... the kind of nebula where jumping out is a hit-or-miss proposition.
