Hi, as I owe few of your games, I am always interested in new Title from Starwraith. Before I buy it, I would like to hear have You something in warp drive changed, or is it still "froggy" sector jumps. It is a major gamebreaker for me.... I mine, then I have to jump, jump, jump, sell, then again, jump, jump, jump, mine, jump, jump, jump, sell... not to mention greater distance without gates... jump, jump, jump, jump........jump, jump, jump..... jump, jump, jump, jump.....I think You got the point. Would like to see different kind of a warpdrive.... or at least super cruise, so we can fly few sectors without jump, jump, jump, jump, jump.....

Yeah, and a lot of the loopholes for making millions of $$s in a few minutes are gone. The economy is a lot better now and reacts to sell/buy. You can use the warp gates to get places much faster if you plan your route. Space is a big place and it'd be too easy if people could just hop from one end to the other to sell goods. Try the demo though.

What's the difference in terms of gameplay between 'super-cruising' a few sectors and 'jumping' a few sectors? ;)

A number of players sent in feedback about the issue and requested the point to point space folding jump drives be kept as they felt 'super cruising' (or any form of coasting) would just add delays to the travel process via longer speed up, coast for a while, then slow down cycles. So by pretty strong request, jump drives continue to be the mechanism of choice.

 And just to prove that Vice doesn't only listen to old-timers, I'd voted for the "cruise" method used in Arvoch Alliance. So ... we all get overruled now and then.

Hello, mercenary pilots! I don't want to produce two different threads in Evochron and Community Mods subforums so I'd rather ask here if you wouldn't mind.

1. Is it possible to replace the default star background with the old one from Evochron Mercenary? I like the old backgrounds in Mercenary and Legends, something like this http://www.starwraith.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8413 or http://www.starwraith.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10130. IMHO, new space background looks a bit variegated (I don't know if this is the right word, English is not my native language).
2. How to raise my military rank? Must I fight the Vonary in WZ like in Mercenary and Legends or since Alliance and Federation are in war I can do contracts in other systems?
3. A question abot the lore. In Evochron Mercenary Alliance controls the upper quadrants of Evochron sector (Sierra, Talison, Cerulean, Sapphire), while Federation controls the lower right quadrant (Thuban, Pearl, Deneb). Also there is Richton lower left quadrant (Orion, Sirius, Rigel). Now in Evochron Legacy the enemies changed the positions: Pearl is under Alliance control, while Sierra is under Federation control. How? What has happened with Richton quadrant?
4. Are there any quiet places now? In EM my favourite system was Atlas where I could rest after combat in WZ or after deep space exploration. Now it looks like I can be safe only in capital system. The entire sector lies in ashes and ruins and I have to begin from the very beginng.

 I can't tell you about the Richton quadrant specifically but most of your other questions can be answered by completing at least one of the first two quests.
