[EM 2.848] not jumping when viewing from outside

I noticed the autopilot won't jump until you switch back to the cockpit view.

Tired of waiting the wpn system recharge to full after the last auto multi-jump, I switched to an external view to see my newly pimped centurion shine under starlights but I only got even more tired of waiting to see the jump.

It looks like a bug, I don't see a reason for it.

:cool: If you want to see your ship in the middle of a hyperjump, try entering a jumpgate. You should see something like this:

:o Thinking back ... I've seen screenshots of "warp trails" taken while in 3rd person view. I don't believe they were the result of using a jumpgate. So, maybe, try initiating a jump and then switch to 3rd person. (I do know that, when observing from rear view inside the cockpit, your jump will be put on hold until you revert back to forward view.)

You can also switch to fly-by view shortly after you returned from hyperspace. The warp tunnel is still visible then, which looks really cool.

Ok, but I don't see why the autopilot is put on hold. I think the hyperjump should be done no matter your view. Even if taking you back to the cockpit view is needed for some software desing reason.

Certain view modes require disabling the HUD and hence, automatic navigation systems. This is intentional, both for internal functionality reasons and for gameplay limitation reasons. For reference, here are the view modes that do not require disabling the HUD and/or automatic navigation systems followed by those that do:

HUD and/or automatic navigation systems active:
- Cockpit Forward
- Cockpit Padlock
- Cockpit 3D Head Tracking
- Cockpit Mouselook
- Cockpit Left/Right/Rear/Above Views
- Chase Camera
- Chase Camera Left/Right/Rear/Above Views

Requires inactive HUD/navigation systems:
- Player to Tracked Target
- Tracked Target to Player
- Flyby View
- Cinematic View
