If you mean the default flash of light (which happens even if you insert the text file to keep the entire screen from blossoming to white), then maybe not. I thought I'd found the graphic file which defines it, but I was wrong.

M. Grubert, et. al. - The 'technique' to hide or diminish the white flash of warp insertions/recoveries is the creation of a text file entitled - hidefade.txt -. Enter the number - 1 - as the sole occupant of this text file, and then place it in the main game folder. Wonders will thusly abound! [Screen goes deep black instead of brilliant white.] {The number - 0 - is the default white.}
* Vice covered this option in a previous post response to a darkened room/bright flash request, possibly in the b-t slice, IIRC.
