So I've read a lot on the forums that some new players are having a lot of trouble with the combat, UI, navigation and a lot of other things in the Evochron universe.
I know there is a lot of players out there that help the new pilots, and some clans that help new members as well. But sometimes there are players that don't want to be part of a specific clan, or have timezone issues etc. so what I want to do is as follows:
To help new players out, I want to start a training school where I will teach those players that do not want to spend a few hours figuring stuff out themselves and just want to start getting into the game quickly the basics of trading, navigation, missions, combat etc. and also answer any questions. The idea is to get all interested members into the same system and on a voice chat like teamspeak or Ventrillo or something, give a short class at certain timeslots or have different classes at different timeslots (ie. Combat at 14:00, Mission running at 15:00, navigation and menus/ship functions at 10:00 etc), or let the class decide what they want to do, and then answer any questions, then do a little practical exercise for fun and send them on their way to go find their place in the universe.
Just to make it clear, I am by NO means the expert on this game, but I do know how to fight (ask [UE]Sinbad or [UE]Sariph or any other pilots that have flown with me) and I do know the basics of the navigation etc. and how to survive alone out in the dark. And i will be doing some research on the new stuff that came in with the expansion and to freshen up my knowledge.
So if you think this is a good idea, or a bad idea, or you are interested in this, please let me know.
