Do you have the hi tech one made yet? You mention it in the first page - maybe you meant the steel one?

I'd love to receive files from you for the steel one if so.

I Ran Across "Perch_Leto_mod_v4". It Differed Slightly from the v3 Version So I Decided to Create a "King Arthur Chariot" PERCH.

The ARMREST Is "CROCODILE SKIN".

It could be very interesting for you to dive into 3D modeling a bit. You can find great vids on Youtube that easily show you the basics. Depending on how you go from there, you will probably be able come up with a decent model in a pretty short time. Youtoube 3d model vids link.
UV mapping and texturing however, is a bit more difficult for most people. It can be a pretty P.I.T.A. But it is also incredibly satisfactory to create a model from scratch, texture it and add all the HP's (where the weapons, engine effects etc go) and eventually see it and actually fly it around in game. You might find it interesting.

VIPER. Unfortunetly I Have ZERO IDEA What To Do when I Comes to 3D MODELING, Though I'd LOVE To Be able to Do It. I Have SO MANY Ideas for NEW COCKPITS.

I'm Afraid I'll have to Stick to MODDING Others COCKPITS and Leave the MODELING Up To the PROS Like You.

MY FULLY MILITARIZED F-114 PERCH COCKPIT/HUD. WORKS GREAT WITH 2.X EXPANSION BUILD.

For some Reason the "covodlight" File Doesn't Work So I Added the "IMAGES" to My "basemap" File. Still Can't Get the "SYSTEMS MAP" onto the Middle Top on the Center Console.

Strange that the 'covodLight' doesn't work. Have you checked that 'covodLight.jpg' is spelled correctly with an L instead of an l? And that it's a jpg, not a png?

What 'images' do you mean you added to your 'basemap'?

You said you want to get the systems map on the 'middle top of the center console'. Do you mean where the 'covodLight.jpg' used to go? In that case I think naming the image you use for the systems map to 'covodLight.jpg' should do it.

VIPER. When I Use YOUR ccpit Screens the "covodlight" file works FINE. But When I ADD MODS to the SCREENS it Simply WON'T Work.

I've TRIED JPEG, No Joy.

Any Ideas Why My MODS of YOUR SCREENS EFFECTS THE "covodlight" File?

What exactly do you mean with 'adding mods', and what with 'screens'? Those 3 monitors?

(I'll probably reply again tomorrow since I'm going to bed now. Gnite.)

I have no idea why it would do that. The ccpitblue are completely other images than the covodLight. Changes made to one of them should not affect the other.
Best thing you can do is to set things back to a point when they were fine, than start making changes until the issue arises again. The last change you made probably causes it.

VIPER. GREAT IDEA. I Thought It Might Be that SOME of the Images I Used in the ccpit were JPEG rather than PNG so I COVTERTED the ALL 3 SCREENS to PNG and the "covodLight" file to JPEG. Still NO IMAGE of the "covodLight" file.

I'll let you Know How I Make Out.

Yeah it's a good thing that you make sure the images are in the correct format ie jpg or png. And if you're converting images from jpg to png or the other way around, you also have to make sure that the you use the same compression method and bit depth as the originals. Most graphical programs offer a range of compression options for both formats. Especially jpg/jpeg can be compressed in a gazillion different ways. Bit depths can be equally important. For EM, they vary between 8 and 32 bit I think. I'm not sure if the wrong bit depth could cause problems like the one you're experiencing in EM, but I have surely seen it causing problems in other programs. It could well be that the game doesn't pick up on an image if it has the wrong compression method, or the incorrect bit depth.

You can use programs like MediaInfo for that, but most graphical design programs can also give you the specific details of an image. I'm 100% sure that Gimp and Photoshop offer these kind of details. Most of the times it's accessible by right-clicking on the image in the program > image > image details or something similar.

Good luck.

I have editted my Dominus version of the perch and it seems to fit well, the covodLight file works in JPEG and on COCKPIT 2!!! I believe it may disappear if on COCKPIT 1... I could be wrong... Mine is working fine, on Cockpit 2 and Jpeg... I shall post Pics shortly.

 Apo, here's a posting tip. If you save your screenies as PNG files before uploading them to Photobucket, they won't be converted to JPGs. And the quality of the images, when you post them at the forum, will be much better. Clearer. Not nearly as fuzzy.
