good advice, marvin. i have SeeJay and co on screen.
for the scripting: that would be nice. your skills will come handy once looking at the whole game.
as i wrote: lets see. the cockpit seems to be a good start (its there.. and its complex and simple enough at the same time).
the blog functions are an alternative to forum-style. tagging and categories allow some nice navigation beside a search, imo. if it gets people forward and isn't just a waste of time,.. time will show. i tested several cms systems, as yoomla,.. other forums.. the simplicity of wordpress totally got me.
there may come that point, where i allow more authors with independent access. once there, this project will get a dedicated (sub)domain- at least- and i'll remove my personal stuff.
(its sad, but it matters: as soon as you do not act anonymously, you have to follow some laws and rules, which depend on the country you (rather your server) resides. i have to read things up here before beeing able to be as uncomplicated as i'd like to be without some shark biting my you know what)
the other way round is imaginable too. providing webspace and pre-configured frameworks so you can polish your egos and go public with your very personal (non commercial) work is imaginable: be it writing, drawing, music or how to get rid of zombies squatting your house. am currently evaluating that with people i know personally. i have no facebook account, you know. and this is not going to change.
regarding the expansion: its thoughts i twisted, too. i also asked vice.
how ever evochron developes: a good portion of cg-basics won't change that soon - neither for evochron nor any other game. and the people interested will adopt. i'm confident. so will the mods. it is no wasted time.
leto, old cowboy: i'd like to keep it technical. how to play the game is another construction site - and its not mine. (:
