map not working anymore

HI map used to show labels and icons. Now its just blank tryed restarting the game but dont work. When i press hightlight it gives the xyz location but there used to be icons for locations too.The runtime error 500 and 506 still pops up every now and then. For some reason training mode works fine do.Have over 60 games on steam they all work fine.The map not working properly and the runtime errors are making the game unplayable

Steps to fix crashes caused by memory interference (ie stopping at 82% or at other points in the game): http://www.starwraith.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6595 Then if you pin down which program/task is causing the interference, please send me a quick e-mail with the name of the file so I can keep it for future reference. Could be AVG or it could be something else. Disabling vsync won't often fix the problem since it relates to blocked memory/disk resources on your system and not a display issue. Something is either blocking memory on your system at various points or it is interfering with the game's access to its own media file. The fact that it is intermittent suggests it is security program related, so I would recommend following the steps on changing settings/options in the thread at the link above.

If trying the setting changes to disable AVG or including an exception for the game does not work and the crashes continue, Steam recommends you uninstall it completely (replacing it with something else as desired for security).

The map is likely working fine, but you'll need to learn how to use it to avoid getting blank sectors when viewing it by jumping up or down on SY or trying to view sectors above or below you. Do you have the map problem in both single-player and multi-player?
