Earth landing

LOL....Direct jumping into a Cave or Staion is not a Secret. It is just Navigational Math and Science. Ofcourse if you do not know basic math or science it is a secret that is difficult to solve....it is all relative.....

I've been following this thread and also tried a few things and will make further attempts. I'm doing it offline, but if I manage (yeah right) to enter Earth I'll do it online too. So far I've tried:

- Since they don't let us in because we're a mercenary I removed everything from my ship (even the shields lol...) and I tried entering from the north pole aligning with the centerm but no luck

- I've also tried entering invisible, but no luck as well

- I also tried with hiper drive to pass that point where we blow up, but no luck as well

There are at least 2 more things I've got in mind to try out... still I'm quite new to the game, so I'll either miss something or think differently as I don't know too much about the game. I only found a way to Earth due to a site with a universe map for Evochron

But is it really possible? If what allows us to enter Earth is something like having gone to every solar system in the game universe or "achievements" like that, I don't have a chance.

I have to say though that the amazing talented person behind this game is a bit like an evil genius

. It's very hard to find a way to Sol system without looking at that site with the whole Evochron universe map, since the jump gate to Riftspace is in the middle of nowhere. And to get there we must know there's a wormhole in Riftspace to go to Sol. Then we get to Sol and Earth doesn't allow us to go there unless we find some kind of secret. And when we want to get out of Sol we must enter a wormhole too close to the sun (I was able to successfully do it at my first time, but almost fell into the sun...). And then we jump to a hostile system. At least we don't have to enter a wormhole in a black hole. The one I tried in Sapphire I wasn't able to get in in the ways I tried to.

This game is awesome!

You can get to Sol by using the equipment provided and got there without using the gates. It takes a longer time but it is possible as this is an open universe.

Yes, I know the game universe is continuous, and it's one of the things I mostly appreciate, but it takes a long time that way. I meant defined routes with jumps

Getting a decent ship with a decent jump drive and a big fuel tank is a sort of traditional "coming out" for a new Merc. It only takes an hour or so (!) and the coordinates are given in the EL manual and in the Nav Screen.

. . . .oh and a deplot constructor is a useful piece of "emergency supplies" kit

BTW, just tried another way and it failed, but in my mind it seemed promising. After the last warning they give us when approaching the explosion zone (aka debris zone) I was trying to pass by deploying a shield array and going through it, but even with it I was destroyed

I'd like to ask for 2 things I'm not sure if you can answer about the landing on Earth thing, but here it goes:

1) Is it possible in single player / offline mode or does it need to be in multiplayer? I'm not referring to the contest, just about being able to land there. Is it achievable in single player without using multiplayer?

2) Is it possible for someone only playing recently without advancing too much in the game stuff?

This story of landing on Earth takes me way....way...way...back. Only 2 Pilots were able to achieve this feat (Maarschalk)

:D and they aren't talking...Believe me...I tried. To answer your question, if you are one of the rare, then you should be able to do it in singleplayer as well as multiplayer. If you are interested in the loot..then of course multiplayer. Who will be the next?

Thanks, I ask that because I usually prefer to play single player (although when I'm more advanced in the game I will also join multiplayer to try it more that way), and I'm trying to get to Earth in single player. If I somehow am able to do it I guess it can be done again in multiplayer to prove it. So I asked to see if I'm not losing my time when I try in single player

. I'd like to do it more for the simple reason that I want to land and fly on Earth, and since there's a secret way to do it... now I'm curious to find out! But the contest is cool.

Landing on Earth in Evochron Legends in single player was different from doing it in multiplayer. In multiplayer you needed to figure out an additional hurdle!........You could not resist could you?........

I'd been playing Legends for a while so I know a few ins and outs, although my combat skills are pretty shocking. My internet is pretty crap, prepaid. For a while, before Mercenary went out of beta, it was fairly easy to land on earth...but the method previously used is now impossible.
