One for you Marvin and other errata
Yes it plays wav, but some functions won't work, not sure which. It should also play video files of various descriptions, just not sure which and what would work and what wouldn't so I'd stick with either wav or mp3, mp3 by preference as i know all the buttons and sliders work for that.
To add a wav just drag and drop the files from explorer.
It loads from a folder they can be stored where you like it takes them from there, drag and drop works to add to the playlist, it doesn't move anything just adds to the list.
That's not an install file it's a very small self extractor that I didn't make, so i'm afraid I can't change it. I will look into something else, but a proper install would in fact increase the size of the package by about 200% which is why i went with a simple self extractor. I can change this obviously if y'all want.
Glad to hear it's of use.

Added a warning that it's not an install file just a self extractor, hopefully that will help. Also added that to the site.

Edit: Okay, I can load it. It just doesn't show up as a file when I click on "Load" ... I gotta type in the filename manually.

or you could type *.wav into the filename box, but a disclaimer, I didn't design it to work with wav files it just does thanks to the method used to play them. By the same token it will play other formats as well, but I don't suggest you do it
. Dragging and dropping the files you want from explorer should do the trick also just drop onto the list and they'll be added, no file ext checking is performed, which to be honest it should be

you probably didn't save with the correct ext, namely .pls, that is a slight problem I had with setting the default ext. just add .pls to the filename when saving it. Then it will show up on the load button file requester. In the meantime I will try to figure out how to set the default ext
EDIT: Fixed that now, was a silly over sight, download is at original link. The reason it's so much larger is that this is an actual install file rather than just a self extractor, it's a lot more user friendly so I thought I would knock up an install. if there is any other problem let me know.

Then it did not download properly I think, let's see it should be around 334kb if it's not then the download didn't work. i will fix the site. If you still have problems let me know.

Edit:
Well, it took four or five tries but it finally downloaded as advertised. Thanks, Siege. Seems all my Evochron websites are running slow. Nothing else runs slow, 'though. Very odd. Very odd, indeed.[Edited on 2-9-2011 by Marvin]

Thanks, glad you like it and glad it finally downloaded alright for you. I've checked and my host had no problems so it must've been internet gremlins, pesky little creatures! During my learning journey I will doubtless program other little things not sure what else might actually be useful though other than v2 of Comitis which is a little slower coming out than I had hoped due to my learning curve lol. I actually tooled around with some 3d programming yesterday and got an intro screen to a game running with full 3d and with combined size with dll it was under 2meg, got to love purebasic lol.

Doh, I made a booboo, The stupid Playlists would lose an entry every time you saved it from the top of the list, I've now fixed that and added rudimentary click support on the playlist, clicking on an entry will play it now. Updated the original download (Still an installer) Sorry for the mess up.

Got something for you if you're interested, not released this on the whole yet but it's basically TinyMP3 redone with a heck of a lot more power while staying small, and I mean it's actually using slightly less memory than before.
It's called Musica 602kb
It's slightly larger on the old hdd, but it plays most common formats while really tinymp3 only played one properly. This one even supports OGG, MP3, WMA and MOD formats. More importantly for the weary traveler though is that you can stream straight off the net with it, so you can listen to Shoutcast radio with it. if you don't know what that it, you can find a station for just about anything you like to listen to and generally they're pretty good.
Thought I'd offer you the chance to check it out directly. It's improved over the old version, still uses the same .pls format though, but now you can do daft things you couldn't before like open a pls from the shell so it starts the proggie when you double click a pls. You can add more than one file at a time in the add file dialog as well which is a defo improvement lol.
There's more but I've been programming solid and i've forgotten half of it. Love this langauge
and the BASS dll ofc.
EDIT: (06:14am-gmt)
Added a radio station guide that simplifies the task of getting online with streaming audio, (Don't use during Multiplayer btw, though I have streamed with no real difference depends on your connection), The guide only has a few stations on it at the moment because I've only tested a few of them, there are hundreds of Shoutcast stations to get through though so bear with me on that one.
I added a rather large image, then compressed it down again so file size has changed three times in the last half hour, gotta love jpg compression), New Buttons, New Preference Saving, updated About box because I missed something rather important since I was using someones icons as part of my buttons. All this for a couple of KB more!
Will post this in TinyMP3's place i think as it's the more functional of the two and still keeps itself low on memory.
Slight update on other stuff.
Arvoch Conflict Mission Editor, to learn about file handling I'm making a mission editor for Arvoch. I know I'm not the only one that loves that game still.
Want to program:
Quest Editor for EM
Comitis V2
Might perhaps do a mission editor for Starwraith too for those retro players out there.
Any ideas on what to create please do U2U me.

Edit: A quest editor shouldn't be that difficult. SeeJay is manually creating a quest ... to append the default quest.

Yes... oddly that would take some doing, i can probably make sure that it doesn't repeat the same track over again though, playing the same track twice in a row is a pain in the bum I've noticed during testing. but keeping track of the entire list would be slightly more difficult. I can certainly do that mind you, I've just learned about array's of structures and how to use them so let me sleep for a while and I will put this in the new program. Adding, removing or otherwise messing with the play list would likely have to reset the play tracker though.
EDIT: - 06:56am - gmt
Now worth downloading again as I've just done that feature you asked for only I've done it in Musica rather than TinyMP3, this new one really replaces that one anyway. It does clear itself on occasion when it's done them all obviously sort of an auto loop there, and when you add or delete items/load a new playlist. Links the same as the previous post. Seems I didn't need to sleep after all lol.
New Edit please See http://www.starwraith.com/forum/viewtop ... 72#p102184 for details.

Due to total lack of interest in the site, (I'm not running a site for 6 people as much as I like those 6:) ) and a mega technical fault that has totally foxed me anyway I'm taking the site down.
Please lock/delete this thread.

I'm sorry about the technical problem - sounds like it's a deal breaker. How many people would you need to make the site worthwhile? I think that with a bit of advertising and a bit of time, EvoFic could have been a really good central resource!:(
Still, good on you for trying!
