New to the game

Hi guys i'm pretty new to the game. Let me start off by telling you what i've done so far.

1 i know how to use the navi system extremely well. Flew to a few uncharted systems already.

2 i'v completed basic contracts like cleaning/ pick up drop offs and destorying asteroids. combat missions are extremly hard.

The main problem i am having is. Combat Pilot starting role. Its really hard to get doing because the missions are too hard to do. And i have very little cash to buy anything useful.

I want to do combat pilot because i like the milita ships.

Any advice on combat pilot role and stuff will help greatly

Even as a civilian you can buy military ships at any carrier* (on the Nav map, the carrier icon looks like a cigar). What you can't do as a military pilot is the Quest ... you need to have a civvy ship for the first Quest message to show up in the Chat window. So, you might want to start a new profile ... either that or go swap your military ship for a civvy one. (You can also store your current ship for later use.)

* The type ships available depend on your military rank ... which can only be increased by doing contracts (any kind) while in a war zone.

Hi and welcome.

Get in to a civ ship or start a new profile as a mercenary.
Do the IMG Quest. That will give you enough cash to start upgrading and it will get you
into combat with easier contracts to start with.

Do it in MP and get some others to fly wing with you. Great fun and much easier.
