What servers have players on ? when i load up MP i only ever get 4 servers and ive tryed them all and yet to this day ive never sceen another player lol.. ive tryed the conflict zones. hostile systems. looking around while im questing/mineing/contracts etc but ive never sceen another player... i mean tbh its rare i leave the conflict zones nowadays cause i got a few billion in the bank and a good mineing ship which makes me lazy to mine so i just fight in my military ship..
am i doing something wrong in MP cause ild love to see and meet players because after reading the clan posts on this forum there sceem to be quite a few guilds/clans..
Press tilde key (above tab) to see a player list. It's possible that the player activity has been down due to the upcoming expansion. When that's out, I'm sure more players will get on again.

I tend to agree with the OP, its not often I log on to a MP server and see many others; its usually 1 or 2. But this weekend I went to my favorite server (starbase 6) and found 5 or 6 people in there.
I decided to run up to Olympus from Pearl where they were at and found a few people mining and fighting around the Harris Mining base. It was fun watching someone else mine and others fight AI baddies.
I hope more start MP'ing. Its a whole over world when real people are out there.
I've had the same thing as you Jaystar. It seems though that the best chance to meet other players is the Starport 6 server. I wouldn't know exactly at what times though.
Like splosives said, you can see what players are on the server if you press the tilde ~ key. But before you log on to any server, you can also see how many players are playing there, by right-clicking on a server in the server list.

Usually I was used to play on Galactica 1 server which has the best ping for Western Europe . I don't know if it's on purpose for testing the next expansion or for some another matter that it's no more on the list.
Generally when it's lunch time for you overseas, it's almost bed time for us in Europe.
You could also have a look at the Orange Nebula server. That one also has a really good ping for Europe players. I'm from the Netherlands myself and I'm averaging around 40-60 ping.
However, I've never seen a lot of players there, which is why I play on Starport 6.

I waited around for 5 or 10 more minutes for you but I never saw you log back in. U2U me a good time to run some missions and I'll join you. Multiplayer is definitely the highlight of this game.
