how do I install cockpit mods?

I have the steam version of EM and I tried to install a HUD and cockpit mod, but only the hud mod shows up, and the cockpit is still the default cockpit. Can anybody help me fix this?

EDIT: Guys I got it to work. Serves me right for not reading the read me file.

What steps did you follow for the hud and cockpit?

Did you place the files in to your Steam App folder?
or the EM folder? Should work fine in your Steam App folder....

I think it's Steam Application folder.... Although I don't have the Steam Version, but I know this happens every now and again with Steam users that try Mods by placing them in the EM Folder.... They need to go in some App folder in you Steam stuff...

I saw a question on here before about how to install mods, and it said to put the mod files in C:\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\evochron mercenary and thats what I did

Strange, both hud and cockpit files go to the same folder so if the hud works and the cockpit doesn't that is strange.

I suppose we are sure that the cockpit files do exist in the folder yes?
