[EL] Runtime Error 10 (resolved)

Hello, I'm a big fan of space type games, and these look pretty great. Evochron Legends was recommended to me, and so I've just downloaded the trial. Ran into problems when I tried it out unfortunately.

Attempting to start the tutorial causes the game to crash, with the message [Runtime Error: Error 10]. Oddly, the game runs fine when I click on the "launch" option, smoothly too (weird, considering the specs). Looking through the technical support section, and this: http://www.starwraith.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6595 I can see similar problems (and solutions), but nothing that has worked for me.

Running Windows XP (sp3), GeForce 6200 (128mb), 1GB ram.

I could probably figure it out without the tutorial, but going by my first attempt, possibly not . Might try my laptop.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

It's a media loading error, indicating the game could not load the file it needed into memory. If you'd like me to review your configuration for possible causes, follow the steps here: http://www.starwraith.com/evochronlegends/faq.htm#8

Wow, great response speed, not called a "Super Administrator" for nothing, eh?

Anyhow, after looking over that suggested page, I've decided my system ram is the problem. Available memory is below 500, and that sounds like its not ideal.

Not worth wasting your time on, and my laptop runs it fine anyhow.

I loved playing Legends and I was upset when Evochron Mercenary came out! I gotta tell you try Evochron Mercenary! Great game, players and community.
