This is more for myself then anything, as I've always carried a lethal form of defense but I don't feel like carry such a thing anymore. I've heard os stun guns and the like but their very hard to use in a defensive situation if the aggressive one is someone that is armed to the teeth. What I want is something with some force to it that will either temporary immobilize or make someone unable to use a firearm. Does such a film exist? If so I would need to know more then just the name things like, is it legal, and is it available for purchase?
This isn't a debate on gun control this is a question lol

It's a spray, I should have added "long ranged".From post: 142738, Topic: tid=9696, author=Busch wrote:Oleoresin Capsicum

Well, since you're a civillian, there's no way that I would suggest anything that would put you in harm's way. Other than OC-spray, you can't get certified with the electro-stun devices, because they are considered at law as a weapon. Same-same for impact weapons, or knives, or bullet-launchers. You may have the best of intents and persuasions, no harm - no foul. Unless you're commisioned LE, or possess a CCW, suggesting anything other than what I have, is license for major trouble. No thank you, I'll abstain.

Look, I'm all about being "prepared" for eventualities. It does you credit, truely. After 21 years in the military, and 25 years as a cop, yeah - I'm prepared.
If you get into a "situation", you need to have the tools to deal, right ? Defending yourself or another, is a fine discharge of your civic duty. Don't get carried away. There is truely, only just so much that you can do, at least as regards the law of the land. Running away and calling the authorities - best choice of many.

It's legal for me to carry lethal weapons with a permit in WV this is why I'm asking. I'm guessing such a thing would be legal in my state, unlike most of the US.From post: 142743, Topic: tid=9696, author=Busch wrote:Look, I'm all about being "prepared" for eventualities. Okay then. If you can handle the legalities, get certified to carry concealed. If you are persuaded that strongly. And, you're under-informed. There is sort of an unwritten obligation in that regard. Has to do with the ability, or willingness, to take a life. Hope you can handle it.

Agreed Maars. A few leech missiles and a couple of cannon shots to the engine subsystem and they will will be helpless.
