Question regarding crew members

Hey, newcomer here. Only played evochron for about 6 hours so far and have already had a bunch of crewmembers leave me after I docked up, despite their 80+ loyalty rating. Some of them even left me no more than 5 minutes after I hired them!

Was wondering if there's any additional factors besides loyalty that increases their chances of deserting me, or if it's simply just poor luck on my part?

Hi Ciradis, welcome to Evochron!

Maybe you smell!! Lol... no seriously, your crew loyalty really has to be 90% upwards to stop them leaving the ship. Also failing a contract will decrease their loyalty. The more contracts you successfully complete the more their loyalty will go up. You can also increase their loyalty by massively bumping up their salary. One useful technique is to carry out contracts from a carrier in a warzone (or the one in Sapphire) as I believe crew can't enter a carrier and so won't be able to leave your ship... no matter how much you smell.

Very long trips. Without docking at a trade station (or city). Plus, I pay my crew 4 times the asking price.

over pay your crew by 3000 credits and they will stay with you.
when they get to 90% or more you can drop there pay. (only loyal crews will stay after pay cut lol)

Crew member was one of my first care, i always liked the idea to hire a specialized crew that give advantages and so on...

I was in same situation of you at first, then started to make nice trade i pay them much more than what they ask for

so, we are mercenary, we hire... mercenary's... so... give money and they wil stay with you
