Absolute velocity

Post by Athic »

Hello,
I'm new. I have noticed that the velocity displayed is the velocity I am travelling relative to the point of the nose. It isn't the absolute velocity (aka the velocity at which you are sliding if you are in inert mode). Is there any way to show this velocity?

Thanks

easiest way is to turn your nose to your inertial marker and read velosity
otherwise you have to do the math, (calculation for vectors i think)

It IS your Absolute Velocity if you are traveling perfectly straight, if you're not going straight the HUD shows your Up/Down and Left/Right velocities above the RADAR screen.

Have a look in this thread

There is a detailed discussion and explanation from Vice - it starts about a quarter of the way down page one of the thread, first introduced by "mic"
