Very newbie question.

Alright, I'm sure all of you will never let this one die, but whatever.

This question is born mostly out of a lack of drive to search for the answer myself, which seems like it could be very self explanatory, but I've been drinking an awful lot over easter weekend and don't have the energy to actually care enough.

So I figured I'd ask the community.

QUESTION :

What's the difference between Renegades, Legends and Mercenary?

Are they all stand alone games with separate universes, ships and missions? Or are they each an incremental version of the previous installment of Evochron?

Thank you, and please be sure to stop laughing before answering.

Cheers *goes to fetch more beer*

They are all stand alone games and you have the sequence correct. Each has it's own good points on what you can and can't do. Mercenary is the latest.

Always!

Though unfortunately no drinking when I'm back on base... which is the only time I can actually play games on my good computer (mind you I'm trying to get it to work with the laptop I'm currently on) If this laptop can play it I might be able to play when I'm back here.

Mind you I'm wondering if I'll actually be able to play the full game on another device.

I unlocked the game on the PC at the base, can I simply download the demo onto this laptop and input the key to have it unlock the game?

Or do I have to buy a new license for a separate machine?

Speaking of which, what happens if I have to re-install windows or otherwise delete files on the machine I unlocked Evocrhon on in the first place?

is there a way to transfer the unlocked game to a separate machine?

 If you bought the game thru Steam, I have no idea ... but if you bought it via one of Vice's standard options, then you can use the key codes on any machine, so long as you use it on one machine at a time. If you reinstall the OS, you will probably also need to reinstall the game and activate it via the codes. Remember to port your pilot profiles from the old machine to the new if you don't want to be starting over from scratch.
