Question about savedata.txt and EcoMetrics

Post by opiumskittles »

So I'm trying to get Evometrics to work. I have read the manual and the other posts on the subject but I still haven't been able to get it to work.

I've created a savedatasettings.txt file in C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\evochron mercenary where my .exe is.

This is what's inside the savedatasettings.txt :

2000
C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\evochron mercenary\\savedata.txt

The game did not automatically create the savedata.txt file so I created it myself. However, I assume the game is suppose to write data into that save file, but nothing is being written. It's staying blank.

Thus, the tracker is not working in EvoMetrics. On the EvoMetrics side I have this:

File Path: C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/evochron mercenary/savedata.txt (one of the previous posts said to invert the slashes)

Interval: 2000

What did I do wrong that Evochron is not writing any data to the savedata.txt file?

Nevermind. If anyone else gets this problem, even though the savedatasettings.txt file had to be in the Steam folder with the .exe, the savedata.txt got updated in the C:\\sw3dg folder.

 Perhaps somebody who uses Steam could start a special thread in the Mods section for all these little tidbits. ;)
