Asteroid Field Location

Post by shepard_3 »

So I have a Science Ops hired. Now once I enter a sector with asteroids (in this sector the Harris Mining Station in Olympus) he tells me that there "could be valuable asteroids near 0,0,0. But I know the asteroids arent at 0,0,0. They are around the Trading Station. Also on the Nav map they show up exactly at 0,0,0. Why is the asteroid position so innaccurate?

Thanks for the help

The Sience Ops is telling you they are NEAR 0,0,0. Near is relatively different from exact at 0,0,0. An astroid field consists of many clusters of Astroids in an area. If you fly in a big circle around 0,0,0, starting from one cluster you found you will find several other clusters around 0,0,0 and you will not find any at exactly 0,0,0!....;)
