How old is your blog?
It was made Nov 10, 2011

Niche?
Technology. I'm trying to make it into a big tech news site with it's own magazine.

Page views last month?
At this time Google says it's 7,631 with 6,311 Unique Visitors. But my on site stat (Jetpack) says 9,237 views. I think Google's system is more screwy since it doesn't tell me what the person is searching for but JetPack tells me. BTW IDK if this is high or low.

Monthly income?
Since I started the site I made $9.90 from info links, $7.28 from Amazon, $1.59 from adbrite, $0 from linkshare. I had adsense but that was revoke.

Hours blogging (& related activities) per day?
Honestly I have no idea. I think about 14 hours a day when I'm off work. Some days I don't touch the site for a day or 2.

Turning point or special circumstance?
I had 2 or 3 volunteers that thought they wanted to write for the site but they flaked out. Some of them didn't even start writing before they flaked out. But, I assume when the site starts making some real money and I can hire freelancers and they wont flake out.

I was wondering if you can tell me if it's normal for a site to have a total of 20,290 (Google) or 30,853 (Jetpack) visits since Nov 10 and have the lack of income and comments. This was my first news/blog so this entire experience is new to me.

Also, I was wondering if you think it would be possible for me to make a business out of this site. What I want to do is make this site into a big tech news site that has it's own magazine and web cast. I want to hire some 5 or so freelancers to write 15 tech news articles a week. (I'm going to do that after the house is sold and I know for a fact I wont be financially screwed over) I hope within 3 to 5 months after I hire the freelancers I can rent out a business area and start building a full time team starting with a writer that can do graphic designing for a magazine. At which time I will have the writers put some of their best articles in a PDF format and I will send it out to a company that will both print the magazines and ship them.
Also, I want to start a web news show like IGN gaming news. I already talked to 3 models that said they will do it but we hadn't talked about money since I'm not ready to do this yet. (Which means I hope they will be ready when I am) I plan to make an ad spot in the web news but IDK how much I will charge.
From there I hope to make a pod cast (both video and audio). I will have a mixture of a female and male host (not me). I will charge ad spots for the audio and I will charge a different ad spots for video.

From there I hope to grow the company in different directions.

O and I hadn't paid a dime toward ads. IDK if I should look into getting some ads out there

The grammar in the articles need to be worked on. I only read the article about the kinect grocery cart and without even looking already spotted several mistakes.

Did. Or rather, is the one Microsoft did or made.

I have to ask, is english not your native language or is it just careless mistakes on your part? Either way, I'm not trying to be an a-hole but I'm sorry to say it's not very professional sounding and if you hope to make money and have people eventually work for you, this needs to be addressed. If nothing else, have someone proof read your articles.

Mostly careless. I want to see how long I can mess up until someone comments on there. It's kinda funny bc everyone seems to not care and they comment on the info.

Anyways, when I get to the point where I hire people to write articles for the site I'm most likely not going to write for the site any more.

Good luck AA; I'm too old to be savvy with all the new goodies, otherwise I would have been tempted to contribute. (I still have an old Nokia phone and use it twice a week at most

I did some research and I found if I can get the site to a point where it's making a magazine I can charge anywhere between $2k-$20k per ad on a international magazine. The funny thing is in order to get to that point I have to hire a team of full time writers 15-25 and a graphic designer or 2. And that obviously cost a little bit.
I hope by hiring some freelancers and I can get the ads I got to start paying me a bit so I can put a date on when I will be able to do this.
