Kerbal Space Program and orbiting

Post by tk5800thesecond »

The main reason for my hiatus was kerbal space program, a game where you can build a rocket and go to the moon and other such things.

does anybody else here play it?

also, it got me thinking, when I fly close to a planet (in EM of course) am I in a geostationary orbit? does everything else on the map orbit the planet, or the sun? or has it just not been implamented...

I do play Kerbal, although I prefer Orbiter Sim. I imagine Kerbal will be awesome when it is finished.

I was wondering about the orbiting in EM thing. I have read elsewhere in the forum that orbiting and such-like is planned, but not implemented yet.

 Planet rotation is planned for the expansion pack. But, because of the interlink between SP and MP, orbiting would need to be synchronized ... else other objects built or otherwise located in space would be jumping from one place to another. Ergo, the download, graphics and CPU requirements would increase big time.
