probably not in talison but check out your local station starbucks for a great cup of coffee...buy on get one free right now...

I have not seen one in talison. I see the StarMaster Ship there. Try Pearl.

Find a player-built station in Pearl. It won't stop you from being attacked, but at least you won't be charged a docking fee while it happens.

I'm having all kinds of trouble trying to figure out where to find the Mantis drive. I went to the Atlas quadrant, it doesn't have it. Please tell me where to find the Mantis drive. Thanks!

Some times you have to dock many times at a Station or City that would normally have one before one becomes available at those places!
You just have to keep trying but hostile hidden systems planets would be the best bet! I got mine from hidden planet in pearl longtime ago!....

You probably won't get a straight answer to such a question on the forum, as we don't like to post information that can ruin the surprise for other players who have yet to make the discovery.
That said, you probably have a good change of finding high-tech equipment on some of the player built stations, depending on what the player who built it has done to raise the tech level on that station.

The main quest (or rather the only quest). YOu can start it by going to new hope in Sapphire. And yes ultimately it will lead you to a place where you can sometimes find the mantis drive (since it appearing in the items for sale is randomized). Personally I found it somewhere else in some hidden system. People talk about player stations but personally i usually play single player (though i HAVE tried MP 4 or 5 times) so if that's the case with cheri5000, there won't be much luck for him there...

Higher economy systems with lotsa player stations that are developed with research and other bonus stations have the best chance of finding a Mantis.

Have a look in ther "where can I get a . . . . ?" in the hints and tips guide (Vol 1) - but be careful - it has lots of spoilers!

Last time I was in Talison Conflict there was one for sale in MP at the main station. However the guy wanted too much for it. I absolutely will not part with my official Mass Effect 3 limited edition spaceship cockpit air freshener, even if the ending to the game was completely unsatisfying. That ship smells pretty funky after a few runs through Pearl.

Since the mantis drive is in a hidden planet in pearl, how do I buy the mantis drive safely without getting shot by the hostle ships? I got the anti missile system, I don't know if that will do any good. Thanks!

Hi Cheri.

The Mantis can be found elsewhere as well. At least in MP.

If you want to buy it safely at any station/city, just dock and enter the station.
Then you can buy without getting shot. You can also deploy a shield array (bubble) after you dock
to keep you safe in the docking bay.
