I haven't yet purchased EM because I'm curious if anyone has experience using mods with the Steam version of the game.
I like having my games through Steam when I can, but in the past I've had issues with certain mods being a huge pain to get working (or not work at all) when the game is run via Steam.
Anyone have any input on this? If it seems like a big deal, I'll probably just purchase through the main site to avoid potential head aches.
Thanks.

Modding w/ Steam version
I bought the Steam version today and have already applied various mods.
No problems with any of them.
I do recommend using a mod manager, just encase you get a mod you don't actually like, or conflicts with others ect.
I use JSGME atm for lack of a better 1. (google "Generic Mod Enabler" for it)
It's ok, just you have to put all the mods you want to install in 1 folder, as you can't install 2 separate mods that overwrite the same folder.
