Just bought a copy of the game after following it for some time now and must say I am very impressed.
Few games give you that emotional gut feeling as you descend into a Gas Giant's atmosphere where you start to get whipped about by high winds and can barely keep your nav marker in sight.
The multiplayer community seems very mature which is also a good change from others out there. Rarely even fired upon.
Some niggles with there not being enough diversity in mining ores and precious elements. Yet to see if those giants have solid cores and something different besides the usual stuff to mine. Assuming I get there in one piece.
Ship types could also have greater variety. I'd rather a few of each class than the same hull with better armour and less mobility.
Also finding other ships in dead space miles from the nearest trade station or system feature takes some of the 'I'm all alone out here' feeling away.
Looking forward to the expansion and that it will improve upon the current experience and not just add more stuff.
Heaps more to say but will keep it there.
Thanks for a great experience.
First Impressions ( positive of course..)

Hi RoidBelter and welcome to the game and forums mate.

You might have stumbled into a hidden region of space there. When there's NPC's around, it usually indicates there's hidden planets or stations not too far out. Keep in mind, what you see on the nav map is only a small portion of what makes up the EvoVerse. Keep looking and you will find some interesting places. From post: 127095, Topic: tid=8652, author=RoidBelter78 wrote:Also finding other ships in dead space miles from the nearest trade station or system feature takes some of the 'I'm all alone out here' feeling away.
No worries there. Vice (who is the sole creator of this awesome game) always has a lot of attention to player feedback, and usually develops updates and new releases around that feedback. On top of that he usually comes up with new awesome stuff which only adds to the overall awesomeness. In fact, he's working on a new release (an expansion) as we speak. From post: 127095, Topic: tid=8652, author=RoidBelter78 wrote:Looking forward to the expansion and that it will improve upon the current experience and not just add more stuff.

Thanks for the responses
Yeah I noticed that some of the sector's names are different to that of what is listed on the navmap when you first enter, and that they change depending on your position.
This gives me the sneaking suspicion that another system is lying around nearby waiting to be discovered.
Looks like I'm up for a large fuel bill this coming week..
