Hi all,
So I'm having major difficulty completing this contract (or any that requires finding lost items for that matter). I assume I'm looking for free floating items like I ofter pick up after combat but I can find nix!!
Can anyone tell me if there's a trick I'm missing (or even better U2U the location of the object I'm looking for).
FYI - It's the first quest on the Omega at command Sierra station.

I don't remember that part of the quest but for any lost objects contracts and rescue or pickup items contracts,
those free floating objects don't have any hud indicator on the object like the dropped cargo you see after destroying ships, so you need to use your radar.
Look for purple blips on radar.
Normally as soon as i except the contract like these, I point at the waypoint first before jumping.
Then once you get to the waypoint don't stop, keep going same speed until you see the purple blip.
Miaz is right on the steps for this quest, after you find the purple blip, point your ship towards it and fly as close as you can, the object is shaped like a box crate, difficult to see at first but you'll know your getting close if the object slowly moves away from your radar if outside visual range, aka mk1 eyeball. If it requires you to retrieve the object, make sure your equipped with a tractor beam.
