Evochron Mercenary 1.728 Multiplayer

Hey there,

Bought EM yesterday through Steam and after running through the tutorial and playing a bit of single player decided to try and connect to or host any multiplayer server and play with a friend of mine. Unfortunately, after about an hour of trying to trouble shoot connection issues, I am still at a loss as to why I can not connect.

Thus far, I have done the following things:

Disabled the firewall/placed an exception for the program

Port Forwarded the ports listed on the main site (Checked them with a program to be sure they were open)

Disabled my anti-virus

Checked to see if any other programs were using the ports required for this game.

Disconnected entirely from the router and directly connected to my modem.

As I searched the tech forum this does not seem to be a new issue, I see several unexplained and unsolved cases of similar issues. I simply hope that a solution may be able to be found this time.

Most instances of this turn out to be related to a firewall or network device. Since you've checked the firewall, I would suggest looking into your network device(s). Check to see if something like Hamachi or some other 'device' has displaced your default/primary network device into a lower list slot.

I have also taken a look at that, I do not currently have Hamachi installed and no other adapters are currently installed. I have only the one which currently connects directly to the modem.
