Units used in Astronomy:

1 Angstrom (A) = 10 x 10 exp -8 cm
= 10 x 10 exp -10 m
1 Astronomical Unit (AU) = 1.495979 x 10 exp 11 m
= 92.95582 x 10 exp 6 miles
1 Light Year (ly) = 6.3240 x 10 exp 4 AU
= 9.46053 x10 exp 15 m
= 5.9 x 10 exp 12 miles
1 Parsec (pc) = 206,265 AU
= 3.085678 x 10 exp 16 m
= 3.261633 ly
1 Kiloparsec = 1000 pc
1 megaparsec = 1,000,000 pc

About it.

Maximum distance from sun = 1.0167 AU ( 1.5210 x 10 exp 8 km )

Minimum distance from sun = 0.9833 AU ( 1.4710 x 10- exp 8 km )
