Minor Gunsight Change

Post by Driven »

In my experience of "drift combat", it helps to be able to see your shots landing on the enemy, especially if you are just out of standard weapon range and drifting backwards (still able to hit but MDTS is not auto-correcting). So to aid in that I merely removed the very center crosshair (the 4 arrows, not the inner circle) so its much easier to see hits on an enemy craft.

First Mod, only took 30mins or so(including learning to use photoshop :/), the color is not Exactly the stock gunsight, its off by a faint glimmer but close enough where its not distracting, perhaps I'll go back when bored and hunt for it.

FYI I did not touch hud mode 1 as I don't use it at all, but if someone wants that I can probably cook it up.

Install instructions

1 - unzip attached file

2 - put hud folder in the main folder of mercenaries (default is C:\\sw3dg\\EvochronMercenary)

3 - enjoy

Hi Driven, a few of us have modded different items around our huds and ships. One good thing about this Sim is just that ability.:)

Here is a shot of what I have right now.
