map missing data

ive noticed new hope construction doesnt show any icon on my map before and after i have visited it

That's because it is cloaked from nav sensors.

if that is the case though is it supposed to show on my radar as a dockable object? (blue marker)

Yes, exact identity details can't often be retrieved for certain objects that are cloaked from sensors, but you can at least get direction details for them (if you are paying attention to the radar). Some objects can only be picked up at very close range.

Once you are at a cloacked or hidden station or object you can enter it's coordinates and description in your Nav log. Wich will create a Navigation waypoint at that location for future reference.
