If I am out of line, or if this has been covered before, I apologize. I have been really enjoying the game for some time now and working my way up the mercenary ladder and yet something has been on my mind for a while that I would like to throw out for discussion. It seems to me that, after a hard day at work any mercenary would appreciate a cold beer and a little relaxation - perhaps even a little gambling. The establishments in the title would certainly fit in with the game's lore. Even an occassional shady character seated at a table or bar could offer a special, very lucrative mission. What does everyone else think?

lol this would be awesome except that outside of roleplaying it would take considerable amount to add those sort of things into the game. Would be fun though.

Remember that the game is open to anyone of any age. And, there are a few very young pilots who play at the moment! That's why bad language is not tolerated on the Rem1 server.

It would be a pretty good idea. At least gambling. It's these type of minigames that hook people in for good

When they get tired of the flying life and need to take a break, what better way then to unwind with a completely irrelevant subtype game.

I like the idea of gambling mini games. Some sort of alien races like horse races would be neat to gamble on.

I always thought of racing against either AI or another player to be a pretty good "mini-game."

"Yes this is a Great ideal" I have had a lot of fun doing this with other pilots! in the past...before the race everyone could make a bet and then pay up when the race was over...LoL

For planetary races, you need to be about 8,000km above the surface when the course is initiated. There's a screenshot around here somewhere showing how the course looks when you're racing planetside.

You could have a System race....Say start out in Talison Warzone and see who can make it in the shortest time to SOL Earth Station....

would be great, racing among systems. And 2 type of races, no weapons allowed and ....

The Customization Kit used to have a "racetrack" file ... I never looked too closely to see how it worked or what could be done with it. But it would be cool if you could redefine the default racetrack to do just that ... extend all the way from Sirius to Sol. Talk about an Indy 500!

I love having a relaxation game added to the stations and planets. A lot of Free form space sims have at least a casino, lottery or a combination of both. As far as young players, have you seen Disney's game Pirates? In the game, there are actual saloons that have drinking and black jack tables, I guess any self respecting pirate would not be caught without it. So, I guess if it's good enough for Disney, it shouldn't be a problem for the younger crowd.
