restore to last save or death??

So, I've died numerous times and have always chose last save. What happens if I choose death?

You start the game from your last entry in to the game before your first save of the session I believe....

The game takes you to the main menu instead of your last save.

So, the only difference is that you go to the main menu? The last save will be where you start from when you re-enter the universe?

Your last save will still be there either way you go. Give up will let you pick another profile or quit for awhile.
