I would recommend using a laptop cooling pad when running this Sim and others if you notice your laptop fan running on high as I noticed my heat was going from 131 F before game play to high 180's to mid 190's with Sim running. :o:(;) below was a lower reading I happen to photo.

With cooling fan it is running cooler. About 20 degrees cooler at 97%!

Laptop heat

That's not too unreasonable for a GPU temp, although that does seem a bit high with only a 63% utilization (a game using more GPU would probably push that even higher). I'd check to make sure your heatsink/cooling inlet/outlet is free of dust and debris. Once very few months, I often take a vacuum nozzle to my laptop to clean it out and the temps can drop 10-20 degrees celcius. You can also buy a can of compressed air that works well to clean out clogged cooling systems. It's pretty amazing how quickly computers can collect debris, especially laptops and notebooks.

You are right about dust. I moved my laptop off the lap-board I use in the living room and most of the ports had dust around them. I followed your advice and vacuumed them. My Cooler Master-NotePal ErgoStand Cooling Stand with 5" Fan arrives Monday and I will post results good or bad (lol)!:)

Hooked up the cool master and it helps. Have more testing to do but it seems to run about 20 degrees cooler. Not sure if thats as good as it will get but I'm happy.:) It came with 4 extra USB ports also.
