Planet Ring : Little problem in Evochron mercenary.

I wanted above all to congratulate the creator of this game, it's really amazing ...

Otherwise, I would point out just a little thing that bothers me about a lot of planet's rings are perpendicular to the equator, it's really not realistic ... (especially for Saturn).

could you fix it for the next update of the game?

Thank you in advance!

There should only be a few planets that have perpendicular rings, not a lot. And Saturn? Please send me a screenshot of what you're referring to as just about all of them should have rings equal to their rotation/equator.

I think he means Neptune which seams to have rings around the poles.
All known rings are only across the medien, either horizontal or vertical.

She means Uranus. Uranus rings are still around the ecliptic of the planet but its polar axis is tilted and is paralel with the galactic ecliptic. And Saturn polar axis is also under a bigger angle to the galactic ecliptic then depicted in the game I believe. But all rings are still around the rotational ecliptic of the planets. So probably she means just angle the polar axis of those planets. But this is just a game and in reality the planets would rotate also around the sun.... so I do not feel the need for the axis to be rotated but would be nice if they reflected the angles in real I guess that is what she is trying to say.....;):P:cool:

 That would require a lot of additional data because every planet has a different rotational axis ... assuming our Solar system is similar to every other star system. The tilt would show up in both the rings and in atmospheric banding.

Interesting. Well, this is Saturn in the game:

So are you seeing something different than that orientation?

I'll be rotating gas planets with vertical rings so that their cloud bands line up with the orientation of the rings. This will make them line up on the equator. The poles may look a little 'pinched', but it will provide the correct orientation.
