Taking off from a planet

Post by Zenchess »

Hi, I was taking off from a planet (New Hope the first planet in the mercenary choice) and I was following the green takeoff helpers that guide you to get off the planet...

But once I got into the clouds or whatever that is - I couldn't see the green helpers anymore. Is there a workaround for this, like increasing their opacity or making them darker? Thanks

Make sure you are working with the latest version. I believe that has been taken care of.

Hello Zenchess, the green guides are for landing not takeoff. To get back into space just aim for the sky and fly. Welcome to the forum and the Sim. See you out there sometime.:)

 That reminds me ... I need to mod my mod of somebody else's mod so I can more easily see 90 degrees.

I put green lines at ZERO and red lines at 90.:)

 I'm thinking of putting a small circle in the middle of the 90.

I use the rear view to ensure that I'm taking off at the best angle, 90 degs to the horizontal, to get off planet.

 Using the rear view works nicely except when you really need it ... like when the weather is bouncing you around, eating away at your shields ... and five or six Vonari are approaching from space.
