How do you gain rank

How do you gain rank? I'm particularly curious how I gain naval rank, I suspect it depends on how many pilot contracts you've completed but I'm not absolutely sure. I would love a webpage that had rank and there requirements both Naval and Civilian/Mercenary.

So I should take my combat pilot out of Saphire immediately and make way for the warzones to fight? In my Ferret of all ships?

Edit: Any idea of how much funds I should have before I try navigating to the war zones, you know for things like fuel, weapons, and any other upgrades I can fit on a Ferret?

Yep. The latest game build being tested (1.202) actually starts the combat pilot in Talison Conflict.

Should I just remake?

Edit I did remake and I'm still getting those cargo locate missions, out in Phantom.

Make sure you install the 1.202 test build to have your pilot start in Talison Conflict.

Hello Silence, you can do military missions with a Civie ship (lets you keep your crew and cargo bays) and as you upgrade your Civie ship you can hold more useful items than a Military frame can hold. Welcome to the forum and the Sim. See you out there sometime.

Late Edit: I wonder what the Strength of the Military Fighters are over Civie Ships.
