Welcome all pilots to evochron mercenary.
i understand that clan activity was fairly heavy in legends but i found out about the game too late and never got the chance to join one. however what ive read so far about mercenaryseems to be very....limited....in clan support for the game.
Thus, i created clanwars
the below information is the ruleset and for clan wars
IMPORTANT NOTES (all times are based on the eastern standard timezone (the location of the clan wars server)
1) the clanwar server is avalible for clan battles from approx 3:45PM (+-15min) to around 7:00 PM.
note. as the server host. this is compleatly free and as such the server may go down unexpectedly.
2)all , games will be run by me and will have saved versions of the map at all times. also all stats will be held by me locally. no unauthorized battles for territory may occur.
PURPOUS/OBJECTIVE
The objective of clan wars is to allow clans to control certain areas of the clan wars server. In hopes of establishing the dominate clan in Evochron Mercenary.
SIGNING UP
all clans wishing to participate must pm me (ryukage19)
once you have signed up you will be given a selection of empty territory. empty territory is given on a first come first serve basis and is not always avalible.
if no territory is avalible you must chalenge an existing clan for their turf. (if you already have territory you may NOT claim any unclamed territory for your clan (repeated attempts to try and get me to allow you to do so will result in all clan territory being lost and a one month ban from clan wars for your entire clan. the ban is non negotiable and will not be lifted)
per clan win, loss, and territory records are kept by me.
TERRITORY AND CHALENGING
1. all chalenges, in order to count for terrritory, must be pm'd to me. i will then issue a challenge to the appropriate clan
A. all challenges must run in a linear progression (you can only challenge clans that are either ajacent to your territory (or sapphire if your clan has no territory)).
B. Territory is issued in a sector by sector basis. the upper limit being total control of a faction space. Faction spaces are listed as follows:
Eastern Alliance:
Sierra
Aries
Merak
Cygnus
Fauston
Talison (disputed with Western Alliance)
Western Alliance
Cerulian
Onyx
Atlas
Olympus Prime
Talison (disputed with Eastern Alliance)
Richton System
Lambda
Emerald
Rigel
Sirius
Iota
Orion
Thuban (disputed with The Federation)
The Federation
Pices
Capella
Pearl
Rucker
Vega
Virgo
Thuban (disputed with Richton System)
Sol Alliance
Aquilla

(please note that Sapphire and Sol cannot be controlled, nor any secret planets, nor anything in the vonari area of space)
C. Different territories are assigned point values based on their economy level (red=0 pts, yellow=1 pt, purple=2 pts, blue=4 pts, green=5 pts)
control of an entire faction area yelds point advantages as well at the rate of the following
(controlled territitories)*.5 (rounded down to nearest point value)(all territories must be controlled in a faction to qualify for bonus)
disputed territiories do not need to be controlled to control an entire faction space but will add 1 pt to your faction control bounus per disputed planet controlled (this point is added regardless if you qualify for a faction bonus or not)
DURING BATTLE RULES
when a battle for territory is about to happen the server will temporarily go offline and then go back online with a password (that will be e-mailed to respective clan heads ahead of time). the games are currently set at 15v15 with one observer (probably me) for the entire match. you may bring less than fifteen players but it is not recommended.
when the battle starts the attacking team will be given the location of the enemy station. the objective is simple. destroy the defenders base before the game ends.
all games are capped at ten minutes (to be revised later if nessisary)
if the game runs out of time all hostilities must stop at the observers call. the ruling of the observer is final. however exeptions will be made if sufficient evidence is given contrary to the ruling (for example you record your victory (taking 7 minutes) and the observer rules against the win. then you give the video to me and i will adjust the ruling)
once the game is over the appropriate changes to territory and win loss records will be recorded
if the defending team looses then the challenging clan head will be given enough time to choose a location for their clans base in that territory
(ONLY ONE BASE PER TERRITORY AT A TIME!)
OTHER RULES AND REGULATIONS
any player leaving the combat area is to be assumed of messing with the official map and will be booted without any chance of returning. (you may not bring a different player from your clan into the battle to compensate for the loss)
all players on your team must be REGISTERED MEMBERS OF YOUR CLAN (registry records can be held by clan leaders but any new members must be a part of your clan (AND REGISTERED WITH ME) for a week before being allowed to participate (this rule is void for new clans less than a week old))

Interesting Idea but puts limits on small clans. We are a world wide clan ourselves [UE] so would be hard put to arrange for enough players at one time. Good luck and I will watch for updates on this.

@eclipse: ok thats news to me, im limited right now in that i only have the free version and the server client. interesting info tho.
in any case. limiting the amount of space you could control was my answer to clans like SW. it gives a chance for other people to get in on the action, even if one clan can beat the crap out of anyone they come across.
@thetiebers: the player number was probably going to reduce anyway because i did it based on how my computer did running a game with 31 player max. as players start adding in i was fairly certain the number would drop. any other suggestions you may have are well apreciated.

One thing that this does have that isn't available on Rem one is a centralized location specifically for PvP.

Well, since I haven't used one, I don't know if its like building where there's a timer for the base demolisher? Otherwise, its pretty much jump in from ten sectors away, and blast the station, game over.
So it's more of a race to blow up the other teams station? Pretty much impossible to mount a defense I think.
I dunno, I never played Legends, so maybe I'm missing something. I played WoW for too many years, and there wasn't realy any territory control except for spawn points and capture objectives to win the battleground instance. In the last expansion there was a PvP zone with a defense / offense game every hour or so, and there were control points that would let you get a tank to drive around or something like that. I don't think EM really supports anything like that, however.
To my knowledge all we get for owning a territory in EM is cash every minute or so, and it seems that there are discounts for items at stations. I'm sure there's more but I'm not privy.

oh. i just looked up the base destroying device. apparently its a timed bomb where the user has to stay alive for a certain amount of time till the bomb goes off...the bomb user is probably marked so it would boil down to a "v.i.p." protection match in theory
