Disable force feedback?
Is there a way to disable joystick force feedback in game, it would be much easier to fly without it and use only the centering spring force with the stick...

Disable force feedback?
Force feedback joysticks have 2(or more) forces usually. The default centering spring force and the "effect" forces. For example in combat flight simulation "IL-2 Forgotten Battles" when Force Feedback is enabled the force effects like vibration from gunnery etc. come in play but when FFB is disabled then only the default centering spring force is applied.
Centering spring makes "steering" very accurate, flying without any forces at all makes flying difficult because there's no feel at all. I understand why there is no resistance to stick movement in space but I just think flying the ship would be more fun to have the centering spring enabled.
So in short, i would like to turn the FFB off in game and use the joystick exactly how it is configured in Windows.
Also other little annoying thing is that when i choose to use mouse for flying the force effects from firing my guns are still applied to joystick when i fire with my mouse.

Disable force feedback?
Turning off the FFB in Joystick software removes all forces, including the centering spring force.Originally posted by thetiebers

Is there any kind of command lines, like adding "-noForceFeedback" after the .exe or something to do this or maybe an .ini file to put parameters to it?

To disable force feedback, but keep centering active, download and install the latest update available here: http://www.starwraith.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6719
Then create a text file in the game's installation folder named ffenable.txt and in the first line enter the value disable (all lower case letters). This will disable the force feedback effects while retaining the auto-centering (if the device is compatible and in the required device slot).
