So, I just impulse bought this game after a weekend binge on X3:TC. I haven't played yet but plan to do in a while...What actually is this? I brought it because it..looked interesting!
I understand it's made by just one guy, so does it therefore lack a fair bit in the quality department? I can find almost nothing about the game online! The last complex looking bit little heard of game I bought was DCS: Black Shark which I absolutely loved, so I'm hoping this is another gem!
Any info/advice about what this is, welcome!

Hello conurefx, You Will find that this Sim and it's earlier versions is maybe the best Space Sim around at least for our crowd. Everyone has their own tastes but this Sim satisfies all mine. Welcome to the forum and the Sim. See you out there sometime in Multiplayer.

Yeah, I recommend you jump straight into multiplayer and get help in there. You'll find out what Evochron is all about in no time and there'll be people to help with any questions you have (likely to be a few, just starting out). You have the game now, so jump in and find out what it's all about!

Black shark and Lockon FC2 uses one high detail map for all scenarios, small section of earth.Evochron Mercenary has very different approach, there are planets. Evochron series are very unique, planets are not a picture on background, you can visit them.
If you like space sim trading game and looking for unique futures that big game firms couldn't do, you will like EM...

X3 is nothing in comparison to this game. It absolutley blows my mind every freaken time. X3 didn't quite grip me at all, the combat was few and the long ass confusing trips were many
