Roger Dodger (New pilot here)

I gotta say, I found this EM by accident the other day and ever since I'm floored.

I (like another new pilot I was reading about) was an old Tradewars player and then got into Jumpgate (the original) later. I've been looking back at their new game (JG Evolution) every few months, and after playing a pre-release at PAX a couple years ago it seems they've let the publisher get to close to the dev team, and now the game will be extremely washed out by release.

After just watching a few of the tutorials on the website here I was hooked, and just went out to get my new joystick and bought the game. So far I love it! Probably gonna do some MP tonight, so I'm looking forward to that.

Like so many others, I can't believe that I have never heard of this game before, or any of the predecessors. Seems like we have a little gem here for so many reasons, can't wait get get on board!

Like you, I've discovered this game (Mercenary) 2 or 3 weeks ago and I've never heard about it before, this one like predecessors. Just incredible.
The quality of this game is really great and I've seen, I don't remember where, someones compare with X3 or Elite !... Or why not, E.V.E.
I think try MP soon too, before that, I must paint my ship in black to erase the big target drawn on it

and perhaps, upgrade my frame and equipment. So, if you cross "NEKO" ("cat" in japanese) hidden behind an asteroid, thats me. Please, don't be too agressive

(this evening, lvl 106 / 31 kills... ok! I'm dead 5/6 times, that's true)

Thanks all...
I was able to get online today, and yeah it was fun! Several people just said Hi to me and I could watch the chatter between pilots. Someone even offered me some cash, but I decided I wanted to learn the ropes a little first.

So far I've been mining in the noob area and just trying to collect enough credits for a new hull. Good times!

Also I've been practicing orbiting the roids and shooting them down... I know its gonna be harder against moving targets but still extremely fun. I really love the challenge of flying in inertial mode, but still need the IDS for anything overly intricate.

Never heard of em.. lol Just a hrase I use all the time.

Unrelated, I have a habit of saying Yar all the time... think nothing of it.
