Missile Bug in EM?

Post by SeeJay »

Situation!

I switched from my Aries fighter to my Starmaster.
The Aries had a full load of missiles and they transfered to my Starmaster.

They were visible/usable in HUD mode but Docked they weren't visible in the slots.
I could not sell/by any missiles since the slots were full.

Is it a bug or am I missing something here?

(I havent upgraded EM yet).

Go to the hangar mode, it may be an automatic unassignment of the secondary weapon hardpoints. Check if that happened, and if it did, change it back to get your missile slots back. This happened to me, too. But if it is exactly the same, I don't know, they were the same ships anyway.

Hmm. I had the same problem again, reversed! I changed ship from CIV to MIL.
I lost my hardpoints for 2nd weapons "Missile slots". I had to by a new Mil ship, since I can't
modify MIL ships hardpoints as you can in CIV ships. Strange thing this. :(

Yeah I just ran into that problem as well. Swapped out of my starmaster (with 8 missile hardpoints) into my evoch-e and it had no missile hardpoints. Had to trade it in for a new one. This is in 1.094.

Seems to me you would have to know a lot about a frame to be able to rip out its missile hardpoints, especially when it isn't supposed to be possible.

There should be a swap-button that states: "Give me my ship and don't mess with it!" :P

Ideally, that is what should happen when you press the ordinary swap button.

Anything that is possible is possible with the proper knowledge, doing the impossible requires improper knowledge. But yes, just because you know how to do something doesn't mean you should.

There was a gap in the template that caused the 0 hardpoint problem. It has been fixed for the release build, but it will only apply to ships you store with the new build. To update/fix current ships, just pull the ship out of the hangar, correct the hardpoint count as desired, then place it back in storage. The release build should be available later today for further testing.

Awesome support, especially considering you are a one man band.

Thanks Vice, downloading 1.098 now.
