Cargo Jettison, Mouse trapping on dual displays

Post by ahobday »

First, is it possible to jettison just one item of cargo? I want to keep equipment in the cargo hold when I'm not using it (Mining laser etc.), but the Jettison Cargo button jettisons everything in there, and right clicking anything through the inventory discards the item, destroying it.

Naturally this doesn't help with contracts where you need to jettison an item underneath a ship, since they take your other cargo as well.

Also, I have two monitors, and Evochron Mercenary doesn't seem to trap the cursor in the primary monitor while playing it, which means that the mouse strays to the second monitor if I'm turning right, and then clicking to fire weapons means that the game loses focus - not very helpful in a firefight!

Is there a chance this could be added to the game, or am I stuck using a program like MouseTrap?

Well, it should be left clicking, but on delivery and satellite placement contracts, you can go to the inventory screen and left click the item to jettison that. For satellite delivery, this is the only way. For cargo delivery, you can jettison all or just that one.

Some players seem to want to be able to move the mouse to another screen during gameplay. However, switching to a 'Locked (FS)' screen mode in the Options menu may work to trap the mouse as desired on some systems.

I tried this, and the mouse would trap fine in the primary monitor when I was in menus etc, but when I turn my mouse to the right as I'm flying, the mouse pointer will still stray onto the other screen, only with "Locked (FS)" enabled, clicking on the secondary screen will cause the game to crash to desktop.

In the other setting clicking on the secondary monitor only causes the game to lose focus, which I'm sure is the intended effect when it's not set to "Locked (FS)".
